Can you play Local and Online Co-op | PVP Multiplayer | Cross Play | Cross Progression in Rugby 24?

Rugby 24 is launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, & PC on 30 January 2024. This means that fans can’t play as their favourite teams until well past this year’s WC.

The developers are not happy with missing the WC; however, they are convinced that this is the right choice, as it will let players see their passion in a top game.

Can you play Co-op / PVP Multiplayer in Rugby 24?

Rugby 24 features the best championships, a full career mode, & different multiplayer modes. Rugby 22 supported both Local and Online PVP Multiplayer modes. It seems like Rugby 24 will also support Couch and Online PVP Multiplayer.

Co-op was not available in Rugby 22. So far, nothing has been officially revealed about Co-op. We only know that Rugby 24 features various PVP multiplayer modes that allow players to take on their buddies.

 

Can you use Cross Play / Cross Progression in Rugby 24?

Rugby 22 did not support Cross Play and Cross Progression. Rugby 24 is a cross platform game so the addition of Cross Play will increase the fan base. Rugby 24 is launching this month but so far, nothing has been confirmed regarding Cross Play and Cross Progression. As modern sport games support Cross Platform Multiplayer, we think that big studios like Big Ant will definitely consider it.

 

Why is Rugby 24 delayed?

The creators have worked hard to suit the gameplay, show the sport as precisely as possible, & fit in every officially licensed teams that consist of 130 countries & 15 leagues. For doing so, they need more time than they initially expected. Their goal is to make a full game featuring the best simulation. They also found it difficult to get access to some of the best teams’ players to take 3D pictures before the WC. As they wish to make the very precise & full rugby game, they have taken the choice to push back the launch date to 30 Jan 2024. The additional time will help the game creation & let players further improve gameplay.
